Beyond the menu, your dining venue - table and seating - provides the framework for your event. Many homes have two, three or more dining areas in the kitchen, dining room, sunroom, family room or on the patio. Larger events like Thanksgiving dinner for 30 will require multiple dining tables. A more casual dinner of Asian takeout food can even be hosted around a cocktail table with large pillows or cushions for seats.
